Today Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders

🕯 Yurii Iskiv

A resident of the village of Ozhydiv, Zolochiv district. He has been a combatant in the ATO/JFO area since 2014. He was called up for military service on 13 January 2022.

He defended Ukraine as part of the 103rd separate brigade of territorial defence named after Metropolitan Andriy Sheptytskyi. He performed the duties of a rifleman-assistant to the grenade launcher of the rifle division. He died on 28 January near the village of Obody, Sumy region. The defender was 33 years old.

🕯️ Vasyl Markevych

He lived in the village of Ranevychi, Drohobych community. He defended Ukraine during the ATO. In the first days of the full-scale enemy invasion, he immediately returned to the ranks of the defenders. He served in the 24th Brigade of the King Danylo Air Assault Brigade. He performed combat missions in Popasna, Zalizne, and the Donetsk area.

The warrior was seriously wounded in July 2024, but despite this, he returned to his comrades-in-arms and continued to defend the country.

He died on 27 January during an enemy assault in the town of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region. Eternal memory to all the fallen Героям🕊️
