Today Lviv region says goodbye to five defenders
Yuriy Lomov
Born in Lviv.
After graduating, he served in the military at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily came to the defence of his homeland. He took part in the defence of Kyiv, then joined the 110th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Captain Marko Bezruchko and fought against the occupiers near Avdiivka. During the latter period, he performed combat missions in the ranks of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi of the Ukrainian Navy. He died on 16 October. The soldier was 38 years old.
Petro Masliuk
A resident of the village of Monastyr-Lishnyanskyi in the Drohobych community.
In April 2022, he came to the defence of the state. Senior soldier, assistant gunner of the 1st platoon of the 4th company of the 2nd mechanised battalion. He died on 22 October during a combat mission near Novodanilivka, Zaporizhzhia region. He was 50 years old.
Ivan Savchenko
A resident of the city of Turka.
Chief sergeant, inspector of the Border Guard Service of the 3rd category, master of the engineering and positioning group of the border outpost of the 1st border commandant’s office of the military unit 49971. He died on 23 October. The defender was 45 years old.
Vasyl Kuzma
A resident of the village of Lahodiv, Peremyshlyanska community.
He served in the military unit A7393. He died on 21 October, performing a combat mission near the village of Olhivske, Zaporizhzhia region. He was 46 years old.
Pavlo Kamenash
A resident of Mykolaiv, Lviv region. The soldier died as a result of an illness. He was 31 years old.
