Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders today
🕯️ Dmytro Nakonechnyi

A resident of Lviv. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he stood up to defend his homeland as part of the 5th separate assault brigade of Kyiv. He was awarded the badge “For Exemplary Service”. He died on 25 May. He was 37 years old.
🕯️ Maksym Horbonos

Originally from Zhovkva. He served in the ranks of the 7th Carpathian border guard detachment. He came to the defence of the state in 2014. He took part in the battles for Stanytsia Luhanska. Since 2024, he has been defending Ukraine in the Donetsk region near the Serebryansky Forest. He was awarded the insignia “For courage in the protection of the state border” and “For participation in close combat”. He died on 24 May. The soldier was 35 years old.
🕯️Михайло Stepaniak

A resident of the village of Dolishne, Novorozdilsk community. He has been defending his homeland since January 2023. He performed combat missions in Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions. He was wounded and continued to serve. Unfortunately, on 31 May, while on leave, the soldier’s heart stopped. He was 45 years old.
🕯️ Mykhailo Sakharevych

A resident of the village of Ripniv, Zolochiv district. He joined the ranks of the defenders on 5 April 2022. He held the position of a gunner in the 37th Separate Marine Brigade. He died on 9 November 2024 during a combat mission near the village of Bohoyavlenka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region. He was considered missing. The soldier was 58 years old.
🕯️Віктор Shuper

Originally from Sambir. He was the head of the personnel group of the Sambir District Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support. He defended his homeland during the full-scale invasion of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. He died on 31 May after a long treatment for a serious illness. He was 49 years old.
