Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders today
🕯️Петро Golovach
A resident of the village of Hrymne, Komarna community. He was a rifleman of the 32nd separate mechanised brigade. He died on 24 June during treatment as a result of an injury. He was 49 years old.
🕯️Вадим Ostapenko
A native of the city of Kharkiv. He was in regular military service in the military unit 2418. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the ranks of the 103rd separate brigade of territorial defence named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. He was awarded the Golden Cross by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died on 18 June. He was 52 years old.
🕯️Олексій Bukhantsov
A resident of Lviv. He was in regular military service in the Western Group of Forces. He took part in the ATO as part of the 14th separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Roman the Great in the Luhansk sector. In 2024, he joined the 42nd separate mechanised brigade to defend his homeland. He was awarded the insignia of the President of Ukraine “For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation”. He died on 24 June. The soldier was 54 years old.
🕯️Анатолій Taranov
Originally from Drohobych. From 2024, he defended Ukraine in the Donetsk region in the ranks of the 12th Special Forces Brigade “A30B”. He died on 22 June. The soldier was 33 years old.
🕯️Богдан Yuskiv
A resident of Lviv. He did his military service in the border troops. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he served in the 125th separate territorial defence brigade. He was awarded the Honorary Badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Golden Cross”, the medal “To the Defender of Ukraine. For honour! For glory! For the People!” and the medal “Defender of the Fatherland”. He died on 20 June. He was 50 years old.
