Today, Lviv region says goodbye to six defenders

Every day at 9 am – a nationwide minute of silence. Stop, wherever you are, and honor the bright memory of all who died for Ukraine due to Russian aggression.

🕯Mykhailo Kret

Resident of the village of Styborivka, Zolochiv district. He defended the country on August 12, 2024. He was a scout-gunner of military unit A4594. He was considered missing. He died on October 29, 2024 near the settlement of Kurakhove, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region. He was 25 years old.

🕯️Bogdan Lukashchuk

A native of the village of Kuty, Lviv region. He served in the military service. He died on October 4. He was 63 years old.

🕯️Roman Yaniv

A native of Lviv. He was a participant in the Joint Forces Operation. Awarded the “War Veteran” medal. In 2023, he rejoined the defense of the country. He served as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. He died on June 19, 2024. The soldier was 44 years old.

🕯️Ivan Vesna

A native of Lviv. He served in the military service. In 2025, he joined the defense of the Motherland as part of the 60th separate mechanized Ingulets brigade. He died on October 1. The soldier was 48 years old.

🕯️Olexandr Gundzyk

Resident of the city of Sheptytskyi. He held the position of border guard inspector of the 3rd category – anti-tank missile system maintenance number in the 3rd border detachment named after Hero of Ukraine Yevheniy Pikus. Died in October. He was 31 years old.

🕯️Ihor Soroka

Lived in the village of Babyn, Sambirsky district. He held the position of sniper of military unit A4699. He was considered missing since February 2025. He died on February 8 near the settlement of Viktorovka, Sudzhansky district, Kursk region, Russia. The soldier was 50 years old.
