Lviv region says goodbye to defenders today
🕯️Григорій Gres
A resident of Novosilky village, Zolochiv district. He performed combat missions as part of the 68th separate hunting brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush. He was a grenade launcher. He died on 9 May 2024 near the village of Semenivka, Donetsk region. He was 33 years old.
🕯️Василь Zhemela
A native of Zabir’ya village, Lviv region. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he fought in the 71st separate huntsman brigade of the Air Assault Forces. He was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Golden Cross”. He died on 2 May 2024. He died at the age of 38.
🕯️Віталій Lebyak
A resident of the village of Voloshynovo, Lviv region. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he defended his homeland as a member of the military unit A4599. He died on 8 May 2024. The warrior was 45 years old.
🕯️Антон Sotnyk
A resident of Lviv. In 2014-2018, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in the ATO. He was the gunner-operator of the mechanised company of the mechanised battalion of the 24th separate mechanised brigade named after King Danylo. He was awarded the President of Ukraine’s decoration “For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation”. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he returned to the army and defended his homeland as a member of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died on 7 May 2024. He died at the age of 43.
🕯️Василь Yabrotskyi
A native of the village of Boberka, Lviv region. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily defended the state against the invaders. He fought in the 704th separate regiment of radiation, chemical and biological defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died on 9 May 2024. The warrior was 43 years old.
🕯️Юрій Mironov
A resident of Kozhychi village in Ivano-Frankivsk community.
He was a gunner of the mechanised section of the mechanised platoon of the mechanised company of the mechanised battalion of the military unit A4667. He was reported missing since 19 June 2023, but later his family received confirmation of his death.
