Lviv region says goodbye to three defenders

Every day at 9 o’clock, we observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who died for Ukraine because of Russian aggression.

Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders:

🕯️ Oleksandr Kostenko

A resident of Lviv.

During 2015-2017, as a volunteer with the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, he defended Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation zone, and in 2019-2020 he performed tasks in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Transcarpathian Brigade.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he joined the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the regional department “West” to defend the state.

🕯️ Orest Kostetskyi

A resident of Lviv.

Participant in the events during the Revolution of Dignity. In 2017, he signed a contract as a volunteer with the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi.

From the first day of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade to defend his homeland.

By the decrees of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree and the award “For Defense of Ukraine”.

🕯️ Andriy Buchkovsky

A native of Lozyno village, Lviv region. Later his family moved to Lviv.

During 2015-2016, he performed combat missions in the anti-terrorist operation zone as a member of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Cossacks.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to defend his homeland from the invaders. He performed combat missions first in Sumy region, and later – in the southern direction in the ranks of the 116th separate mechanized brigade.
