Today Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders
🕯 Roman Dubkovych
A resident of the village of Sopit, Skole community. He was a senior soldier in the A3892 military unit. He died on April 28, 2024, while performing a combat mission near the village of Berestove, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.
🕯️ Taras Osmyakevych
A resident of Lviv.
He studied at the Lviv gymnasium “Prestige” with advanced study of foreign languages.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend his homeland in the 2nd Galician Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. In January 2023, he was transferred to the 4th Operational Brigade named after the Hero of Ukraine, Sergeant Serhiy Mykhalchuk (Rubizh Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine). He performed combat missions in the Donetsk region. For personal courage, he was awarded the “For Rank” badge.
🕯️ Hennadiy Paliyevets
A resident of Lviv.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, despite his lack of combat experience, he voluntarily defended his homeland from the invaders. He performed tasks as a member of the 16th separate motorized infantry battalion of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi. He defended the state on the territory of Donetsk region.
🕯️ Oleksandr Holubkov
A resident of Lviv.
In August 2023, he came to the defense of his homeland. At first he fought in Kharkiv region, and later in Donetsk region as part of the 68th separate hunting brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush.
🕯️ Yaroslav Protsailo
A resident of Zhvyrka, Sokal community.
He was a rifleman, assistant grenade launcher of the military unit A4447. He died during an artillery shelling near the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region. He was reported missing since June 9, 2023.
🕯️ Bohdan Vereshchuk
A native of the village of Krupske, Rozvadivka community. Participated in the Revolution of Dignity, was wounded. A sailor, he defended the sovereignty of Ukraine as part of the military unit A2802. He died in hospital from a serious illness.
