Every day at 9:00 AM, Ukrainians observe a moment of silence to honor the memory of those who lost their lives due to Russian aggression. Today, Lviv Region bids farewell to its defenders who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine’s independence:
🕯️ Dmytro Dyachok
A 26-year-old resident of Busk, Zolochiv District. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 11, 2022. Served as a gunner in the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He was killed on January 1 near the village of Zaolishenka, Kursk Region, Russia.
🕯️ Ihor Makarevych
A native of Lviv, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 1991 to 1993. He joined the fight to defend Ukraine at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He carried out combat missions in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions as part of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He died on January 28 at the age of 51.
🕯️ Oleksandr Shchetinin
A resident of Lviv who joined the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kosh Otaman Kost Hordiyenko after the start of the invasion. He performed combat duties in the Kharkiv region. He died on December 29 at the age of 42.
🕯️ Andriy Stakhovych
A resident of the village of Staryava, Khyriv community. He served as a rifleman-grenade launcher assistant in military unit A0281. He was killed on December 22 near the village of Pohrebky, Kursk Region, Russia. He was 43 years old.
