Today, Lviv region bids farewell to five defenders

A resident of the village of Volytsia, Velykomostivska community, Sheptytskyi district. He served in military unit A0284. From 8 July 2024, the serviceman was considered missing in action. He died while performing a combat mission near the village of Klishchiivka, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.

A native of Skole. He served in the military as a technician-driver of the third border guard post of the first border guard service (type C) of the third rapid response border guard command of the first border guard detachment, in military unit 9937. The soldier was 35 years old.

He was born in the village of Kolodruby, Mykolaiv community. The soldier was considered missing in action since November 2024. He died while performing a combat mission near the village of Martynivka, Sudzha district, Kursk region, Russian Federation.

Born in Minsk, citizen of the Republic of Belarus, resident of Lviv.

According to his relatives, Alexei was interested in politics and was a well-known political activist in Belarus. He was persecuted for his beliefs and moved to Ukraine.

With the start of the full-scale invasion by Russian occupiers, he stood up for Ukraine and took part in the defence of Kyiv. Later, he defended Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty in the Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk directions as part of the Kastus Kalynovskyi Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and later in the North Slobozhansky and Zaporizhzhia directions as part of the 225th Separate Assault Battalion of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A resident of the village of Sholomyn in the Davydivska community. His life was cut short on 22 January near the village of Rublene in the Kharkiv region.
