Lviv Region Honors the Memory of Fallen Heroes: Farewell to Three Defenders of Ukraine

Every day at 9 a.m., Ukraine observes a moment of silence to honor those who gave their lives defending the country from Russian aggression. Today, the Lviv region bids farewell to three heroes who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.

🕯️ Volodymyr Shpak
A resident of the village of Nadyby in the Biskovytsia community. He served as a junior sergeant and gunner-operator of the 1st mechanized battalion of military unit A4674. The defender died on December 22 in the Zaporizhzhia region. He was 50 years old.

🕯️ Volodymyr Kondiukh
A resident of the village of Batyatychi in the Kamianka-Buzka community. In January 2023, he joined the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The soldier died on December 23 while performing a combat mission in the Kursk region of Russia. He was 46 years old.

🕯️ Sviatoslav Kravets
A resident of Lviv and an active participant in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity. From 2014 to 2017, he served in the “Myrotvorets” patrol police regiment, carrying out combat missions in eastern Ukraine. After the full-scale invasion, he joined the 107th separate territorial defense brigade. The defender died on December 24. He was 47 years old.
