Today, Lviv region bids farewell to ten defenders

Every day at 9 a.m., there is a nationwide minute of silence. Stop wherever you are and honour the memory of all those who died for Ukraine as a result of Russian aggression.

A resident of the Medenitsa community in the Drohobych district. Serviceman in the grenade launcher platoon of the 3rd mechanised battalion of military unit A 5001. He was killed on 9 October while performing a combat mission near the village of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.

A resident of Stebnik, Drohobych district. During the full-scale war, he stood up to defend Ukraine. From 5 April 2022, he carried out combat missions as part of military unit A7154, and later military unit A7147. Later, he was a rifleman in the 1st rifle section of the 2nd rifle platoon of the 10th rifle company of the 4th territorial defence battalion of military unit A7030. He was killed on 21 October near the village of Huliaipole in the Polohivsky district of the Zaporizhzhia region.

He was born in the village of Mali Didushychi, Stryi community. In 2011–2012, he did his military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2013, he was actively involved in the Revolution of Dignity. In 2014, he volunteered to defend his homeland. He joined the ranks of the separate battalion “Wolves of Da Vinci”. With the start of full-scale war, he continued to defend Ukraine as part of his unit. Unfortunately, the Hero’s life was cut short on 24 October due to a serious illness. The soldier was 35 years old.

A resident of the village of Seredpiltsi in the Sheptytskyi district.

The soldier died on 19 October while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv region.

Served as a driver-refueller in the motor transport unit responsible for delivering fuel and lubricants to the logistics platoon of the 3rd Mechanised Battalion.

A resident of Lviv.

In 2024, he stood up to defend his homeland from the invasion of Russian occupiers. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Donetsk region as part of the 68th Separate Rifle Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush.

He was awarded the Golden Cross by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine’s Wound Medal, and the War Veteran Medal.

A resident of Radekhiv, Sheptytskyi District.

The soldier served as an assistant grenadier in the 2nd mechanised section of the 1st mechanised platoon of the 1st mechanised company of the 2nd mechanised battalion. He was killed on 20 October while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv region.

A native of the village of Kutriv in the Volyn region.

With the start of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend his homeland from the Russian invaders. He defended Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty in the Donetsk region as part of the 63rd Separate Mechanised Brigade. He was awarded the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine’s “Badge of Honour” and the “War Veteran” medal.

A resident of Lviv.

In 2024, he stood up to defend his homeland from the invasion of Russian occupiers. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Donetsk region as part of the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion.

Awarded the War Veteran medal.

A resident of the village of Pyatnychany, Sokolivsky Starostate, Bibrskaya Community. Head of communications for the second border guard post of the 105th Border Guard Detachment named after Prince Vladimir the Great. Unfortunately, he was killed on 17 October in Chernihiv Oblast while performing a combat mission.

A resident of Stare Selo, Davydivska community. He died while performing a combat mission near the village of Kucheriv Yar, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region.
