Today, Lviv region says goodbye to nine defenders

🕯️ Maryan Hryshchuk

Resident of the village of Vykhopni, Zhovtanetsk community, Lviv region. The soldier served in the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, was a sniper of the second department of border guard inspectors. He died on September 9 near the settlement of Gruzke, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region. He was 34 years old.

🕯️ Mykola Borusovsky

Resident of Mykolaiv, Stryi district.

He performed combat missions near the settlement of Dachne, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region. Since February 2025, he was considered missing. In September 2025, his body was identified and declared dead. The soldier fell in battle during mortar fire during the advance of an enemy assault group. The defender was 52 years old.

🕯️ Mykola Kohut

Resident of the village of Falysh, Morshyn community.

Was a senior mechanic – driver of the 1st reconnaissance unit of the 1st reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company of the A5003 military unit. Died on September 8 while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk region.

Native of the city of Horodok.

He was the senior gunner of the grenade launcher unit of the platoon of the 3rd assault company of the 1st assault battalion of military unit A 2582.

He died on September 4, 2024 in Kurshchyna, since then he was considered missing. The soldier was 31 years old.

🕯️ Andriy Kolodiy

Resident of the village of Kernytsia, Gorodok community.

Andriy was called up for service in April 2024. He served as a driver-sapper of the engineer-sapper company of military unit A 4728. He was previously wounded, and after rehabilitation he continued his service. He died on September 15, while undergoing treatment. He was 36 years old.

🕯️ Roman Lesiv

He was born in the village of Novy Kropyvnyk, Drohobych district. In April 2024, Roman was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as part of the 59th separate assault brigade of unmanned systems named after Yakov Handzyuk, in the Pokrovsky direction.

Roman was considered missing for more than a year. He has not been in contact since July 1, 2024. Only now has his death been officially confirmed. He died while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Krasnohorivka, in the Donetsk region.

A native of Lviv.

In 2024, he defended the Motherland from the invasion of Russian invaders. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction as part of the 117th separate heavy mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The soldier passed away on August 8, 2024.

🕯️ Stefan Leibyuk

A native of Lviv.

He served in the military.

In 2025, he defended the Motherland from the invasion of Russian occupiers. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction as part of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade. The defender passed away on September 10.

🕯️ Roman Geryak

A resident of the village of Strilkovychi, Sambir community. Roman served in the 703rd separate support brigade. He was the commander of the road equipment department in the 3rd engineer battalion. Unfortunately, his heart stopped after a serious illness.
