Today, the Lviv region says goodbye to six defenders

Every day at 9 o’clock – a nationwide minute of silence. Stop, wherever you are, and honor the bright memory of all who died for Ukraine due to Russian aggression.

🕯️ Ivan Ivatyo

Resident of the village of Rechychany, Gorodok community.

The soldier served in the 150th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died on September 20, 2024 near the settlement of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhia region. He was 43 years old.

🕯️ Mykola Sapiga

Resident of the village of Ostriv, Sheptytskyi district.

He was a soldier, a rifleman-service number of the airmobile detachment of the military unit A2572. Since February 2024, he has been considered missing. Unfortunately, the soldier died on February 11, 2024 near the village of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region, while performing a combat mission.

🕯️ Oleksiy Koryak

Resident of the city of Hirnyk, Donetsk region.

He was a sergeant. He served in military unit A7275. In February 2022, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, on February 14, 2023, he died near the settlement of Vodyane, Donetsk region. For a long time, he was considered missing and only during the last exchange of bodies of fallen soldiers was his body returned home. He was 49 years old.

🕯️ Viktor Kotsiubynskyi

A native of Lviv.

From the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers, he stood up for the defense of the Motherland. Defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the eastern direction as part of the 67th separate mechanized brigade, the 101st separate guard brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 140th separate special operations center of the Special Operations Forces. Awarded the medal “War Veteran”.

🕯️ Igor Duma

A native of Lviv.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers, he stood up for the defense of the Motherland. Defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the North-Slobozhansky, South-Slobozhansky and Donetsk directions as part of the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade. Awarded the medal “War Veteran”.

🕯️ Andriy Klishch

Resident of the village of Zabuzhzhya, Kamyanka-Buzka community. The soldier served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as an operator of the 2nd anti-tank detachment of the anti-tank platoon of the 1st mechanized battalion.
He died on April 17, 2022 near the settlement of Novye, Donetsk region. Since then, he has been considered missing. He was 27 years old.
