Every day at 9 a.m., Lviv Oblast observes a moment of silence in memory of all those who died, who gave their lives for Ukraine due to Russian aggression. Today the region says goodbye to defenders:
Oleg Cherneta
Oleg Cherneta is a resident of the village of Sikhiv in the Stryi community. He was a senior sergeant of the rifle division. He died on December 21, 2023 in the Kupyan district of the Kharkiv region. The soldier was 48 years old.
Mykhailo Kunanets
Mykhailo Kunanets – a native of Yavorov. During the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces as part of the 79th separate assault brigade. He was the commander of the radio-electronic department. The defender died on December 28, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the village of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. The soldier was 31 years old.
Ruslan Narok
Ruslan Narok is a resident of Pidkamin village of Zolochiv district. From the first day of the full-scale war, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a member of the 64th battalion of the 103rd brigade of the TrO. Ruslan died on December 26, 2023 in Kharkiv region. He is survived by his parents, son and brother.
Yuriy Demchyshyn
Yuriy Demchyshyn is from Lviv. With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he joined the defense of the Motherland as part of the 128th separate brigade of the Russian Army. The warrior died on December 24, 2023 in the eastern direction. He was 40 years old. The defender is survived by his father and brother.
Ihor Ivanyuk
Ihor Ivanyuk is a native of the city of Dubno, Rivne region. From the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he volunteered to defend the Motherland. At first, he defended the country in the ranks of the “Freedom” battalion in the Kyiv region. Later – in Donetsk region as part of the 5th separate Kyiv assault brigade of the “North” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The soldier died on February 28, 2023. He was 52 years old. The defender is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and two grandchildren.
Andriy Ostapchuk
Andriy Ostapchuk is a native of the village of Peremozhne. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he became a volunteer in the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Colonel-General Mark Bezruchka. He was the operator of the anti-tank missile systems department. The soldier died on July 20, 2023. He is survived by his mother, wife and son.
Andriy Bilovskyi
Andriy Bilyovskyi is from Drohobych. He joined the defense of Ukraine in January 2023. He was a sniper shooter of the 1st detachment of the 2nd airborne assault platoon of the 9th airborne assault company of the 3rd airborne assault battalion of the A-0224 air force. The soldier died in December 2023 while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk direction. He was 35 years old. The defender is survived by his parents, brother and sister.
Konstantin Gruzin
Konstantin Gruzin – was born in the village of Zhovte, Dnipropetrovsk region. Lived in Stebnik. During the full-scale war, he stood up for the defense of Ukraine and was a gunner of the 2nd motorized infantry division of the motorized infantry battalion of the A-0998. Died on December 28, 2023 while performing a combat mission. He was 49 years old. The soldier is survived by his wife, three daughters, parents and brother.
