Today Lviv region said goodbye to three defenders

Every day at 9 o’clock, we observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who have lost their lives for Ukraine because of Russian aggression.

🕯️ Volodymyr Tymiak

A resident of Lviv.

A career military officer, colonel. In 1986, he entered the military service and held the positions of radio station chief and platoon commander in the military unit 70425 in Rivne.

During the last period, he was the chief of communications, head of the communications and information unit of the 103rd separate territorial defence brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In his spare time, he actively improved his knowledge of foreign languages.

During 2019-2020, he performed combat missions in the Joint Forces Operation area. He was awarded numerous decorations for personal courage and loyalty to the military oath: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Silver Cross, the Chief of the General Staff’s Honorary Badge “For Achievements in Military Service”, first degree, the Presidential Award “For Defence of Ukraine”, etc.

When the full-scale invasion began, he fought in the Kharkiv region.

Volodymyr Tymiak is survived by his mother, wife and son.

🕯️ Ruslan Franchuk

A native of the village of Pidhorodyshche, Lviv region.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to defend his homeland from the occupiers. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state as part of the 46th separate airmobile brigade. He performed combat missions in the Donetsk region.

Ruslan Franchuk is survived by four sisters and two brothers.

🕯️ Anatoliy Petruk

Born in Lutsk, Volyn region.

In the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he left his work on a project in Latin America and immediately returned home. He volunteered to join the 5th separate assault brigade of the Kyiv Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the chief sergeant of the security platoon of the battalion’s logistics company.

He is survived by his parents, wife and four children.
