Today, Sheptytske community welcomes the body of 21-year-old defender Oleksandr Ivanchuk

27 November, 21-year-old Hero Oleksandr Ivanchuk returns to his native community “on a shield”

The meeting of the mourning cortege in Sheptytske will take place at approximately 14:00. After the meeting, the funeral service will begin at 19:00 in the Church of St Josaphat. The funeral service will take place on 28 November – the time will be announced later. The warrior will be buried in the Alley of Heroes at the Benduzha Cemetery.

We ask the community to meet our Hero and give him a decent send-off, as he gave the most valuable thing – his own life – for our independence and for each of us.

In connection with the death of Oleksandr Yuriyovych Ivanchuk during a combat mission in the Russian-Ukrainian war, the community declared a day of mourning on 28 November.

Soldier, machine gunner of the rifle platoon of the military unit A4722, Oleksandr Ivanchuk was killed on 18 November while performing a combat mission near Kupiansk in Kharkiv region. We bow low to the defender whose life was cut short so early.

Despite his young age, the Hero devoted his life to the struggle for Ukraine’s independence and gave it for the freedom of each of us.
