The funeral cortege with the body of the fallen soldier stopped at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul for the community to pay their last respects to the Hero
Residents of Sokal, fellow villagers and guests of the city met the body of the fallen Hero on their knees and paid tribute to the Ukrainian defender who died defending Ukraine from Russian invaders.

On 19 November, Junior Sergeant Andrii Pashkur, born on 24.11.1976, a resident of Zhvyrka village, died in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence.
He was called up for military service on 10 May 2024. He served in the air assault company of the military unit A2582. He was faithful to his military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people to the end, and was killed in action in the Kursk region.
