Today, Lviv will say goodbye to Ihor Suryak, who died in the battle with the Russian invaders. Farewell to the military began at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, after which the traditional city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square.
After that, the hearse with the body will go to Sudova Vyshny, where the Hero lived. He will be met there around 13.00. The funeral will take place tomorrow.
“A loving father and grandfather, a patriot of his Motherland – this is how our brave defender Ihor Suryak was and will forever remain, who, since the beginning of the full-scale war, carried out military service, zealously defending the state borders of Ukraine,” says the message of the Sudovovyshnya territorial community.
We will remind you that today Lviv also says goodbye to Hero Andrii Gupka. Farewell to the military will take place in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul in Lviv and in the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Ryasny. A serviceman will be buried at the Ryasnian cemetery.
