Sokal district said goodbye to two defenders – Valentyn Mits and Roman Pankevych

On April 26, Sokal district brought two soldiers, Roman and Valentyn, to their eternal resting place.

The burial ceremony took place at the Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Sokal.

This was reported by Father Volodymyr Zharsky.

The burial of the soldiers, together with the clergy of the district, was led by Archpriest Andriy Dutchak, Dean of Sokal of the UGCC.

Father Andriy addressed the Sokal community and said that faith without deeds is dead.

It is Ukrainian soldiers who have first and foremost love for their native land and believe that only they can protect their families and the Ukrainian state.

Then Father Andriy addressed the family and said that we do not accept and do not get used to great sacrifices, but continue to fight for our freedom and independence, and soldiers Roman and Valentyn gave the most precious thing – their lives. The feat of all Ukrainian soldiers shows that Ukraine must be defended against the enemy, and the Ukrainian people continue to fight.

After the funeral service, the funeral procession moved to the local cemetery, where two more faithful sons were buried in the Alley of Heroes of Ukraine.
