
The Sokal area mourns the loss of its defender – Andriy Komirenko, a resident of the village of Stenyatyn, who gave his life for Ukraine in battles near Novopavlivka in the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region.
Andriy Oleksandrovych Komirenko was born on 22 January 1986 into a large family. He spent his childhood and youth in his native Stenyatyn, accustomed to work from an early age. In 2003 he graduated from Stenyatyn School, where he studied diligently. Later he entered Lviv National University, the Faculty of Mechanisation, qualifying as a mechanical engineer.
In adult life, Andriy was married and was bringing up three children – Nazariy, Maksym and Liliya. His family remember him as a caring father and a kind, sincere and hard-working person, who never refused to help neighbours, fellow villagers and friends. For some time he worked abroad, and later at a furniture factory.
On 17 March 2025, Andriy Komirenko was called up for military service. He served as a technician in the first company of strike unmanned aviation systems in military unit A-4667. He carried out his duties conscientiously, earned the respect of his brothers-in-arms and his commanders, and was honoured with a number of awards, including a commemorative coin of King Danylo of Halych from the Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi.
Defending the independence, freedom and territorial integrity of Ukraine, Andriy Komirenko fell a hero’s death near the village of Novopavlivka in Dnipropetrovsk region. A bright memory of him will remain in the hearts of his family, children, friends, brothers-in-arms and the residents of Stenyatyn.
The community extends its sincere condolences to the fallen soldier’s mother, Oksana Volodymyrivna, his brother Ihor, sister Nataliya, grandmother Hanna, his children Nazariy, Maksym and Liliya, and to all the warrior’s family.
