Sokal community mourns two defenders Mykhailo Vasiutiak and Volodymyr Koblyk

The Sokal community is once again in mourning. During the day, it became known about two painful losses: defender Mykhailo Vasiutiak died while serving in the military, and the death of serviceman Volodymyr Koblyk, who had long been considered missing, was confirmed by DNA testing.

Mykhailo Vasiutiak died during military service

Mykhailo Vasiutiak was born on November 3, 1971, in the village of Variazh. He studied at the local school and later at the Shatsk Forestry Technical School. For more than 20 years, he worked in Sokal land reclamation.

He was called up for military service on February 5, 2024. He served in Zakarpattia, as well as in the Sumy and Mykolaiv regions. He was a demining sapper-operator of the 3rd demining section, 3rd demining platoon, 2nd demining company, 3rd demining battalion of military unit T0950.

His life ended on March 30, 2026, in the village of Vavylove, Mykolaiv region. He is survived by his mother, brother, sister, and her family.

DNA test confirms death of Volodymyr Koblyk

Another tragic report reached the community regarding Volodymyr Koblyk, a resident of Trudoliubivka.

The junior sergeant of military unit A0998 was killed on July 12, 2024, during assault operations near the settlement of Zalizne in Donetsk region. He remained faithful to his military oath and fulfilled his combat duty until the end.

Until March 31, 2026, Volodymyr had been considered missing in action. The fact of his death was finally established through a DNA examination.

Volodymyr Koblyk was born on February 9, 1976, in the village of Trudoliubivka. He received his basic secondary education at the local school and later studied at the Rozhyshche Veterinary Technical School. In 1995, he completed compulsory military service.

He was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 16, 2024.

Sincere condolences are expressed to his mother Yevheniia Yosypivna, his brother Vasyl, his family, relatives, friends, and fellow soldiers. Information about the farewell ceremony and funeral will be announced later.
