The 1st Recruitment Centre of the Ukrainian Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has announced the introduction of a temporary simplified mechanism for the voluntary return of servicemen who have left their military unit without authorisation (are in a state of unauthorised absence), but are ready to resume the performance of their service duties.
This option is available to servicemen whose unauthorised absence was recorded by 12 June 2026. Applications to return may be submitted until 20 September 2026.
The procedure involves several stages. First, the serviceman must call the recruitment centre hotline. Specialists will help select a unit from a specified list and, online or by telephone, will assist in completing the report and sending it to the chosen military unit.
After the documents are approved, the recruitment centre issues an order enabling the serviceman to report to the designated unit without hindrance. Hotline contact numbers and other details are available on the official website 1frecruiting.mil.gov.ua.
