The death has been confirmed of serviceman Dmytro Myronov (08.11.1983–06.12.2024), a private in the motor transport company for personnel carriage of the 1st special forces detachment. For almost two years he was considered missing in action, and his identity was established through DNA analysis.
Dmytro Myronov was born in the village of Dulyby in the Hrabovets-Dulyby community, and later moved with his family to Stryi. He studied at the Andrii Korchak Lyceum in Stryi and at Uzhhorod National University. For a time he worked abroad.
In 2023 he returned to Ukraine and voluntarily joined the ranks of the defenders. At first he fought as part of assault units in various sectors of the front, and after being wounded and undergoing rehabilitation he continued his service in a logistics company.
Dmytro’s final combat mission was the evacuation of wounded comrades near the settlement of Uspenivka in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region. He did not return from this deployment and had since been considered missing in action.
