Senior Soldier Andrii Kotyk from the village of Hlukhiv killed in Kharkiv region

On 18 June 2026, while carrying out a combat mission to defend the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, Senior Soldier Andrii Stepanovych Kotyk, a native of the village of Hlukhiv, was killed.

Andrii Kotyk was born on 10 March 1984. In 2015 he took up arms to defend Ukraine, took part in the anti-terrorist operation, and after the start of the full-scale invasion continued to defend the country from the Russian aggressor.

The serviceman served as a driver-electrician in the 3rd information collection and processing section of the unmanned aviation systems platoon of the artillery reconnaissance battery of military unit A1008. The report notes that he faithfully upheld the military oath and selflessly fulfilled his duty to the Motherland.

The defender’s life was cut short as a result of enemy shelling near the settlement of Hrushivka in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region.

The post stresses that Andrii was a true patriot, a courageous warrior and a kind person, and that the bright memory of him will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, comrades-in-arms and all who knew him.

The community extends its sincere condolences to his mother Olha, brother Stepan, sister Olia, and to all the relatives and loved ones of the fallen warrior, sharing in their pain and loss.
