November became the last for many Heroes from the Stryi community who gave their lives for Ukraine.
Yuriy Hyriak (06.06.1978-14.11.2022) was a sergeant of the 65th Battalion of the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Stryi Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed by enemy shelling in the area of Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. He is survived by two sons and a daughter. He was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Stryi cemetery.
Andriy Rybak (17.06.1992-14.11.2022) was a lieutenant, commander of the rifle platoon of the 65th Battalion of the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Stryi Territorial Defense. He voluntarily joined the Armed Forces at the start of the full-scale invasion. He died as a result of enemy shelling in the area of Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. He is survived by three children. He was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Stryi cemetery.
Ivan Kos (06.07.1991-16.11.2022) was a senior soldier, senior rifleman of the 9th Parachute Air Assault Company of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces of Ukraine. He defended Ukraine in hot spots in the east, particularly in Avdiivka. He died in Hvardiiske in the Donetsk region. He was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Stryi cemetery.
Petro Klymash (07.07.1974-02.11.2023) was a serviceman of the 1st platoon of the 3rd company of the 5th Battalion of the 15th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He died while performing a combat mission in the area of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. He was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Stryi cemetery.
Vasyl Zubyk (19.03.1970-13.11.2023) was a senior sergeant, commander of the 3rd grenade launcher department of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. During a combat mission in the area of Preobrazhenka in the Zaporizhzhia region, he was hospitalized due to severe chest pain, where he died. He was buried in Pidhirtsi village.
Mykhailo Uhryniuk (12.06.1967-23.11.2023) was the chief sergeant of the 2nd platoon of unmanned aviation complexes of the 14th Separate Regiment. He fought on the front lines as part of the 24th OMBr named after King Danylo, and in March 2022 he became a fighter of Legio V and the 14th Separate Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died as a result of an attack by an enemy drone-kamikaze. He was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Stryi cemetery.
Anatoliy Tsekot (21.09.1980-18.11.2023) was a soldier, serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In April 2023, he volunteered to join the Armed Forces. During a combat mission in the Donetsk region, he suffered a concussion. He suddenly died during a rotation in Yavoriv. He was buried in Zahirne village.
Ruslan Mushchynka (13.10.1984-26.11.2023) was a soldier, rifleman-assistant grenadier of the 13th Separate Air Assault Battalion. His brother Roman Mushchynka also died on the front in 2023. Ruslan died during a combat mission near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. He was buried in Yosypovychi village.
Taras Shaban (30.01.2000-26.11.2023) was a soldier, rifleman of the service number of the air assault platoon of the separate air assault battalion. On his first deployment to the front line, during the execution of a combat order, he died near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. He was buried in Pidhirtsi village.
Oleh Pavlov (29.01.1993-14.11.2023) was a soldier, gunner of the 2nd Jaeger Unit of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade. He volunteered to join the Armed Forces. He died during a combat mission in the area of Rayhorodka in the Luhansk region. He was buried in Sykhiv village.
Oleh Tsypuk (25.06.1974-12.11.2021) was a soldier of the anti-aircraft missile-artillery platoon of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a participant in the ATO and served in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, particularly in the ‘Debaltseve pocket’. He was buried in Pidhirtsi village.
Lyubomyr Palii (24.10.1973-01.11.2024) was a flamethrower operator of the 2nd flamethrower platoon of the military unit company. He died while performing a combat mission in the Kursk region. He was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Stryi cemetery.
Albert Yabonji (13.10.1971-10.11.2024) was a soldier of the 38th howitzer self-propelled artillery division of the military unit. He volunteered to defend his native land. He died as a result of enemy mortar shelling in the Luhansk region. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory.
Roman Natynka (17.02.1982-29.11.2024) was a soldier of the motorized infantry battalion. He was mobilized in April of this year. He died in the Donetsk region during an enemy attack. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory in Stryi.
Yuriy Syrotiuk (21.02.1995-25.11.2024) was the chief sergeant-commander of the control department of the anti-aircraft missile platoon of the airmobile battalion of the military unit. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend Ukraine, mobilized on February 26, 2022. He died near Sudzha in the Kursk region. The defender was buried in Holobutiv village.
