The brigades will be created on the basis of the National Police, the State Border Service and the National Guard: “Steel Border”, “Chervona Kalina”, “Lyut”, “Rubizh”, “Spartan”, “Kara-Dag”, “Bureviy” and “A30B”.
The basis of the newly created brigades will be current and former military and law enforcement officers who, as early as 2014, stood up for the defense of Ukraine. Additionally, the brigades will be staffed by volunteers.
The candidate must pass a military medical board, pass a psychological test and a physical fitness test. Only after that, he or she will be enrolled in the selected brigade: the National Guard, the State Border Service or the National Police.
After the medical commissions for the fighters of the brigades, training will begin. It will last several months: first individually, then as part of a unit. When the commander understands that the unit is ready, he will proceed to perform combat tasks.
