Three military servicemen from the Sokal region were posthumously awarded III degree “For Courage” orders
According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, honorary awards were given to Roman Shpakov, Ihor Bilyk and Ruslan Soltys. The awards were presented to the families of the fallen defenders by the head of the First Department of the Chervonograd Central Committee and SP Lt. Col. Ruslan Kubsky and Sokal Mayor Serhiy Kasyan.
🕯️Roman Shpak
Originally from Sokal. In November 2022, he joined the defense of the Motherland. Served in military unit A4355. Roman was a terrible marksman of the air mobile battalion. Died in March 2023 near Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
🕯️Ihor Bilyk
A resident of the village of Pervyatichi. He defended the territorial integrity of our country as part of the B0849 military unit. He was a senior mechanic-driver of the 2nd mechanized company of the 1st mechanized battalion. A serviceman died near the village of Panchenkove, Luhansk region.
🕯️Ruslan Soltys
Defender from the village of Zabuzhja. During the full-scale war, he served in the A7074 military unit. He was the commander of the anti-aircraft machine gun division. A soldier died in January 2023 while performing a combat mission near the city of Kreminna, Luhansk region.
