
Three fallen soldiers from the Belz community have been posthumously awarded state honours, which were solemnly presented to their families.
Serhii Hrytsak, a native of the town of Uhniv, was awarded the Order “For Courage” III class. He was killed on 3 December 2024 near the settlement of Mykolaivka in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission. The soldier was 45 years old.
Vitalii Pekhota, who was born in the village of Murovane, was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” II class. He was killed on 13 May 2024 near the settlement of Netailove in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region. He was 47 years old.
Viktor Soltykov, a native of Zaporizhzhia, lived with his family in the village of Kariv. He was posthumously honoured with the “Hero’s Cross” distinction. The soldier was killed on 15 February 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Kostiantynivka in the Kramatorskyi district of Donetsk region. Previously, he had been awarded the medals “For Valour!” and “War Veteran”. He was 47 years old.
The Sheptytskyi District State Administration paid tribute to the fallen defenders and their families.
