
With deep sorrow, the Truskavets community announces the tragic loss of two Ukrainian defenders who died in the line of duty, defending their homeland.
Ivan Skaley, born in 1997, a resident of Truskavets, served as a UAV operator in military unit A7400. He was killed on January 7, 2026, near the village of Olenokostiantynivka, Polohy district, Zaporizhzhia region, as a result of enemy FPV drone strikes.
Vasyl Levko, born in 1976, a resident of Dobrohustiv village, served as a senior mortar crew leader in military unit A7031. He lost his life on January 17, 2026, in the Bilopillia area of Sumy region while performing combat duties.
Both soldiers gave their lives in defense of Ukraine’s freedom and sovereignty. Their bravery and sacrifice will forever be remembered by the community.
Information regarding the return of the bodies and burial ceremonies will be shared at a later time.
