On 20 September 2026, in a battle for Ukraine in Donetsk region, resident of the town of Radekhiv Mykola Smal-Stotskyi, a mobilised service sergeant, was killed. The defender gave his life while performing his military duty as part of a Defence Forces unit.
Mykola Romanovych Smal-Stotskyi, born in 1969 (19.12.1969), served as senior gunner of the 3rd self-propelled artillery platoon of the 1st self-propelled artillery battery of the self-propelled artillery battalion.
Radekhiv Town Council reported that the community, together with the family, friends and comrades-in-arms of the fallen, shares the pain of this irreparable loss and extends its sincere condolences to all who knew and loved the defender.
The time and place for meeting the cortege with the body of the fallen warrior, as well as details of the funeral service, will be announced separately.
