On 7 October 2026, during combat operations in Zaporizhzhia region, resident of the town of Radekhiv Viktor Myroslavovych Korneliuk, born in 1984, was killed. He was a chief sergeant, commander of the engineering and technical section of the engineering and technical platoon of the engineering and technical company and, as noted, faithfully fulfilled his military duty and Oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
Radekhiv Town Council reported that the fighter died in battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence. The community extends its sincere condolences to the family, relatives, loved ones, friends and comrades-in-arms of the fallen defender and calls on everyone to cherish his bright memory.
The date, time and place for meeting the cortege with the body of the fallen serviceman, as well as details of the funeral service, will be announced additionally.
