
In the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence, Vasyl Fil, born in 1969, a serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine, was killed.
In peacetime, Vasyl Fil studied at School No. 4, worked as an underground miner at the Chervonohradska mine, and later as a driver at the Sanga company.
In 2024, he was mobilised into the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. The defender served as a senior soldier, driver of the motor section of the Donbas special purpose battalion of military unit 3035 of the NGU.
On 18 August, Vasyl Fil was killed near Kramatorsk in Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission.
Mourning the fallen warrior are his wife Maria, son Mykhailo, daughter Iryna, son-in-law Oleksandr and granddaughter Yustyna. Sincere condolences are extended to his family and friends.
The community stresses that it is everyone’s duty to remember the high price of Ukrainian independence and freedom, and to cherish the bright memory of the fallen Defender.
