Oliinyk Andrii Myroslavovych, born in 1979, was killed in action while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region. The warrior served as a private, rifleman-sniper in a mountain assault unit of military unit A3029.
Since February 2023, Andrii Oliinyk had been considered missing in action, and for more than three years his family had been waiting for news of his return. It was recently officially confirmed that on 8 February 2023 he was killed near the village of Bilohorivka in Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission.
The farewell to Hero Andrii Oliinyk will take place on Monday, 15 June. The arrival of the funeral cortege is expected at around 13:00.
After the cortege arrives, a memorial service and funeral rite will be held in the Church of St Volodymyr. Andrii Oliinyk will be laid to rest on the Alley of Heroes at the Bendiuzke Cemetery.
The announcement extends condolences to the family, loved ones and comrades-in-arms of the fallen defender, emphasising the duty to remember the high price of Ukraine’s independence and freedom.
