In Dem’yanka-Lisna, the Memory of Roman Meleshko Was Honoured

In the village of Dem’yanka-Lisna in the Zhydachiv community, a memorial plaque was unveiled in remembrance of the fallen Defender Roman Meleshko. Relatives, friends, clergy, fellow villagers, and community representatives attended the unveiling.

Roman Meleshko was a native of the village of Kyiivets in the Rozvadiv community. He served as a rifleman-grenade launcher assistant in the 5th separate heavy mechanised brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was long considered missing in action but was confirmed killed on 21 January 2025 near the settlement of Petropavlivka in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. He was only 46 years old.
