
In the village of Dobrohostiv, they accompanied soldier Ihor Bilyk on his final journey. The farewell was reported by the Truskavets City Council.
Ihor Bilyk was 54 years old. His life was cut short on 5 May 2026 while on combat duty near the village of Novoyakovlivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the Truskavets City Council, Ihor Petrovych Bilyk was mobilised in September 2024. His family had been waiting for his return, but he came home “on his shield”.
Representatives of the authorities, neighbours, fellow villagers and comrades-in-arms came to pay their respects to the defender, support his family and honour the fallen.
The community expressed its gratitude to Ihor Bilyk for his service and sacrifice in the defence of Ukraine and offered condolences to his loved ones, emphasising the eternal remembrance of fallen defenders.
