
On 12 August at 12:30, the body of the fallen defender Roman Huk will be brought to his family home in the village of Dobriany. Residents are asked to join the procession and honour the fallen soldier with prayer and a minute of gratitude.
The community has been shaken by the tragic news: resident of Dobriany Roman Huk, born in 1981 (28.02.1981), who served in the parachute and airborne battalion of military unit A1126, has been killed. Until his final day he upheld the military oath and fought for Ukraine.
It is known that the soldier fell on 20 August 2024 while defending Ukraine near the settlement of Novohrodivka in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region. For some time, Roman Huk was considered missing in action, but information about his death has recently been officially confirmed.
The community extends its sincere condolences to the soldier’s father, brother, relatives, friends, fellow villagers and comrades-in-arms. The blessed memory of this courageous soldier, who gave his life for Ukraine, will forever remain in people’s hearts.
