On Tuesday, 18 August, the community will receive fallen defender Mykhailo Syrvatka from the village of Ulychne “on the shield”; he was killed while performing his military duty in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
According to reports, the soldier was killed on 8 August near the village of Vasynivka in Zaporizhzhia region during combat. The mourning cortege will be met at the Heroes’ Crossroads at 14:00, after which the procession will head to the village of Ulychne.
On the same day, 18 August, a Parastas service will be held in Ulychne at 20:00. The funeral of Mykhailo Syrvatka is scheduled for Wednesday, 19 August, at 11:00.
Mykhailo Orestovych Syrvatka was born on 15 November 1978 and lived with his family in Ulychne. He was mobilised by the Drohobych RTC and SP on 25 November 2025. He served as a driver in the motor section of the 2nd mortar platoon of the motorised infantry battalion of military unit A3425.
The community is urged to join the mourning events to pay tribute to the fallen soldier and support his family in this difficult time.
