In Drohobych on Tuesday, 26 May, there will be a gathering and farewell for fallen defender of Ukraine Andriy Petsiukh.
On 3 July 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Yablunivka in Sumy region, contact with the soldier was lost, after which he was considered missing in action. Only now has it been possible to officially confirm the identity of the fallen warrior, and so the defender’s body is being brought home for farewell and burial.
Andriy Petsiukh is survived by his mother, sister and wife. The whole family is in mourning.
The funeral cortege with the body of the fallen defender will arrive in Drohobych on Tuesday, 26 May. The gathering at the Heroyiv crossroads is scheduled for 13:00. At 13:30 a citywide farewell will take place on Rynok Square, and at 14:00 the funeral service will be held in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. The Hero will be laid to rest at the cemetery on Pylypa Orlyka Street.
