On 6 October a mourning cortege bearing the body of serviceman Vasyl Zaishly will arrive at Horodok’s central square. The farewell gathering is scheduled for 12:30.
According to the Horodok community, this concerns Zaishly Vasyl Mykhailovych, a native of the village of Bratkovychi, born on 11.02.1974. He served in military unit A2009, where he was a driver in a radar section.
The serviceman’s heart stopped on 1 October 2026 while he was on active duty. The community notes that he remained true to his military oath and fulfilled his civic duty to the very end.
The Horodok community has expressed its condolences to the defender’s family — his wife, son, daughter and grandson — as well as to his comrades-in-arms, friends and fellow villagers from Bratkovychi, inviting residents to join in a collective commemoration of the fallen warrior.
