In the Horodok community, they commemorated the servicemen whose anniversaries of death fall in September. The post listed the defenders’ names, their units, the circumstances of their deaths and their places of burial.
Volodymyr Marushchak (25.01.1972 – 03.09.2023) was a resident of the town of Horodok and a soldier of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He died in a road traffic accident in the settlement of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region. He is buried in the memorial alley in Horodok.
Bohdan Yatsenko (03.01.1983 – 04.09.2015) lived in the village of Dubanevychi and served as a fighter in the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He died after being wounded in battle. He is buried in the cemetery in Dubanevychi.
Marian Debera (12.03.1983 – 04.09.2024) was born in Horodok. He was senior gunner of the grenade launcher section of the 3rd Air Assault Company of the 1st Air Assault Battalion, military unit A2582. He was killed defending Ukraine on the Kursk axis. He is buried in the Avenue of Heroes of the Horodok cemetery.
Ihor Avramyshyn (30.03.1982 – 05.09.2022) lived in Horodok. He served in the 56th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade, 37th Separate Motorised Infantry Battalion “Zaporizhzhia”. He was killed in fierce fighting near the village of Pisky in Donetsk region. He is buried in the Avenue of Heroes of the Horodok cemetery.
Yurii Maksymets (11.05.1989 – 06.09.2023) was a resident of the village of Rodatychi and a soldier of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He was killed in the area of the settlement of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region while carrying out a combat mission. He is buried in the cemetery in Rodatychi.
Volodymyr Olshanetskyi (25.01.1972 – 06.09.2023) lived in Horodok and served as a serviceman of military unit A4056. He was killed in the area of the settlement of Novoiëhorivka in Luhansk region while carrying out a combat mission. He is buried in the memorial alley in Horodok.
Taras Protsakh (26.09.1989 – 07.09.2022) was a resident of the village of Hradivka, a mosaicist by profession, and served as a private in military unit A4056. He was killed in the settlement of Bohoiavlenka in Donetsk region as a result of an explosive injury incompatible with life. He is buried in the cemetery in Hradivka.
Andrii Shypka (04.12.1971 – 09.09.2024) lived in the village of Bratkovychi. He was a soldier of the 182nd Separate Territorial Defence Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed defending Ukraine near the settlement of Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. He is buried in the cemetery in Bratkovychi.
Roman Baran (01.12.1975 – 12.09.2022) was a resident of the village of Kalynka and a senior private of military unit A0998. He was killed in Mykolaiv region during mortar and artillery shelling and air strikes, having sustained injuries incompatible with life. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Kernytsia.
Vasyl Sarvas (06.04.1975 – 13.09.2024) lived in the village of Zavereshytsia. He served in the grenade launcher unit of military unit A4594. He was killed in battle for Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Heorhiivka in Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region. He is buried in the cemetery in Zavereshytsia.
Artem Pochernin (25.01.1995 – 14.09.2022) was a resident of the village of Tuchapy and a graduate of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy. Senior lieutenant, commander of a machine-gun platoon. He was killed by a mine-explosive device in the village of Ternove in Kharkiv region. He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III class. He is buried in the cemetery in Tuchapy.
Andrii Kolodii (13.09.1989 – 15.09.2025) was a resident of the village of Kernytsia and a driver-sapper of the engineer-sapper company of military unit A4728. After being wounded, he returned to the ranks of the defenders, and later died while undergoing treatment. He is buried in the cemetery in Kernytsia.
Oleksandr Vetiuhov (27.10.1971 – 18.09.2024) lived in Horodok. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. He was killed defending Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. He is buried in the Avenue of Heroes of the Horodok cemetery.
Yurii Hrytsiv (12.08.2000 – 19.09.2024) was a resident of the village of Mshana, a sapper, senior private of military unit 3057 of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was killed while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Nelipivka in Donetsk region. He is buried in the cemetery in Mshana.
Ivan Ivato (19.01.1981 – 20.09.2024) lived in the village of Rechyčany and served in the 150th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed in the area of the settlement of Mala Tovkachka in Zaporizhzhia region. He is buried in the cemetery in Rechyčany.
Ihor Maier (30.12.1997 – 21.09.2022) was a native of the village of Zavereshytsia. He was killed during a combat engagement and artillery shelling of military unit A0998 in the settlement of Bezimenne in Mykolaiv region. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Mystychi in the Mostyska community.
Roman Tymofieiev (18.11.1991 – 25.09.2025) lived in Horodok. He worked as head of the technical and operational section of the engineering and aviation service of the aviation squadron of military unit A1349. His life was cut short in the city of Dnipro, where he was on a business trip. He is buried in the Avenue of Heroes of the Horodok cemetery.
The community emphasises that the memory of each of these soldiers who gave their lives in the course of service and in defence of Ukraine remains alive.
