On 12 October, the Hrabovets-Duliby community will receive fallen soldier Bohdan Kotsiuba on a shield. At 13:00 the funeral cortege will arrive in the village of Piatnychany, after which it will proceed through the villages of the Stryi community to Hirne. Residents are asked to join in honouring the defender along the route.
The cortege’s route to the village of Zarichne in the Stryi community, where the soldier had lived in recent years, will run through the city of Stryi and the villages of Slobidka, Strilkiv, Lotatnyky, Sykhiv, Lany-Sokolivski, Podorozhnje and Zarichne. The procession will then turn back in the direction of the village of Hirne.
On the return journey the cortege will stop in the village of Dulyby by the new church, as well as in the village of Hirne by the church. From there the column will travel to the turning to the Palamarova road, after which members of the public will accompany the soldier on foot to his home.
The Parastas for Bohdan Kotsiuba will take place on 12 October at 20:00 at the following address: village of Hirne, 58 Shevchenka Street. The funeral services are scheduled for 13 October at 13:00.
Residents of the community are urged to come out with the national symbols and form a living corridor of honour to give a worthy final farewell to the defender who gave his life for Ukraine. Information about the movement of the cortege will additionally be shared in Viber groups of the localities and on the community’s official Facebook page.
