In the village of Khorosno, work has been completed on a road leading to the family home of Oleh Khomytskyi, who was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. It was in this house that he spent his childhood; his parents still live here today, and it was from here that he left to defend Ukraine.
The community stresses that Oleh Khomytskyi gave the most precious thing he had for his country, and that no deed can compare with the price of this sacrifice. At the same time, the local authorities and residents see it as their duty to support the families of those who defend the country.
The construction of the access road formed part of a programme to build roads to the homes of service personnel and Heroes of Ukraine. This initiative is seen not only as an infrastructure project, but also as a sign of respect and gratitude to those who defend the country, and as a way of honouring the memory of the fallen.
The new section of road leads not only to the home of Oleh Khomytskyi’s family, but also to the homes of other soldiers from Khorosno who are currently serving at the front. The community thanks them for their service and looks forward to their safe return home.
