On Monday, 25 May, at 10:15 a funeral cortege with the soldier’s body will depart from the mortuary of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise ‘Busk Central District Hospital’ and proceed to the village of Petrychi, where at 11:00 the burial service will take place.
Vasyl Ivakhiv served as a rifleman-radio operator in the sniper section of a sniper platoon. He was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 19 February 2024 by the Second Department of the Zolochiv District Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support.
On 21 May 2024, near the settlement of Kostyantynivka in the Maryinka urban community of Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region, while bravely fulfilling his military duty in battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence, Vasyl was killed, remaining faithful to the military oath and the Ukrainian people until his last breath.
The community expressed sincere condolences to the family and friends of the fallen soldier and called on residents to pay proper tribute to his memory.
