
In the village of Kuty in the Busk community of Zolochiv district, Heroes’ Alley was opened and consecrated, dedicated to four soldiers who gave their lives in the struggle for Ukraine’s independence. Relatives and close friends of the fallen, community representatives and local residents came to the commemorative ceremony.
Heroes’ Alley honours the memory of Viktor Holikov, a resident of the village of Kuty. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served as a rifleman in the 111th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade. Viktor Holikov was killed on 18 October 2022 near the settlement of Terny in Donetsk region; he was 54 years old.
Andrii Chornyi, a native of the town of Brody in Zolochiv district, was also commemorated. From 2013 he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, took part in the anti-terrorist operation and had significant combat experience. In 2022 he once again took up the defence of Ukraine, serving as a squad commander of strike unmanned aerial systems. Andrii Chornyi was killed on 15 October 2025 near the settlement of Novopavlivka in Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region, at the age of 35.
Among the heroes immortalised is Andrii Vovk, a native of the village of Kuty. From 2017 he took part in the anti-terrorist operation in Donetsk region, and in August 2022 he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the 44th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Ukrainian Army as an assistant grenadier in a rifle section. He was killed on 15 August 2023 near the village of Terny in Lyman district of Donetsk region; he was 39 years old.
The fourth soldier whose memory is immortalised on the Alley is Mykhailo Bereza, a resident of the village of Kuty. He joined the army in February 2024. He defended Ukraine in the 93rd Separate Anti-Tank Battalion of the 93rd Separate Mechanised Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served as a driver in an anti-tank missile systems company. Mykhailo Bereza was killed on 4 December 2025 near the settlement of Prymorske in Vasylivka district of Zaporizhzhia region; he was 57 years old.
The participants of the event remembered the fallen soldiers and thanked them for their selfless service and defence of Ukraine.
