On the facade of Lanivka Gymnasium, a new memorial plaque was installed, solemnly unveiled and consecrated in honour of Vasyl Husianytsia, a fallen defender of Ukraine.
Relatives and friends of the serviceman, teachers and pupils of the educational institution, as well as residents of the village of Lanivka of the Stryi community, came to the unveiling to pay tribute to his memory together.
During his speech, Mayor Oleh Kanivets emphasised the importance of preserving the memory of the fallen defenders and thanked everyone who contributed to the preparation and holding of the event.
VASYL HUSIANYTSIA (02.04.1971–14.11.2025) served as a private, crew member no. 2 of the machine-gun section of the machine-gun platoon of the unmanned ground systems company of a military unit. He was born and lived in the village of Lanivka of the Stryi community, studied at the local school and later at the Medenychi Agrarian and Technological Vocational College.
The serviceman was killed in the area of the settlement of Novopavlivka in Dnipropetrovsk region.
