In Lviv, as part of the “Lion’s Revenge” initiative, another batch of equipment and gear has been handed over to units of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The total value of this tranche of assistance is UAH 7.5 million, the Lviv City Council reported.
This time, four military units of the Land Forces received support, including mechanised, artillery and rifle units. Three vehicles, 17 laptops and an interactive panel were purchased and handed over to them.
All the property was purchased using taxpayers’ money from the Lviv community. The City Council notes that such handovers take place regularly, mostly every week, as the needs of the military remain substantial and require constant response.
In total, from the beginning of 2026 to August, Lviv has allocated more than UAH 850 million to support the Armed Forces. For the entire year, the city budget provides for more than UAH 1 billion in assistance to the Ukrainian military.
The city stresses that it will continue to fund such procurements so that the AFU units have the necessary equipment and gear to continue the fight for Ukraine.
