The “Azov” recruiting center will open tomorrow in Lviv, where they will recruit and train volunteers who want to soon take part in offensive operations. Today, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, met with representatives of the brigade, who spoke about the center and its future activities.
“Western Ukraine always has the right patriotic mood and an active mobilization resource. We want to involve everyone in the fight for Ukraine and we know how to do it. The war will not end just like that. Regardless of weapons or equipment, Ukrainians are our most basic and valuable resource.
We are recruiting, we have been given a brigade and we can actively increase our military power. We need several thousand people. At the end of January, we opened a recruiting center in Kyiv, and now we are starting in Lviv. We have knowledge and can pass it on with quality,” said Ilya Samoilenko, better known by the nickname “Gandalf”.
As “Azovites” say, the center’s goal is recruiting and informational and educational activities with people, because it is an active civil society, which consists of active people, that can move the country forward.
“For me, Azov has always been a strong, emotional factor. You are independent, you perfectly understand the realities of today, so we are ready to help you as much as possible. You have our support, so we are happy to help in any way we can,” Andriy Sadovy emphasized.
During the meeting, they also discussed the situation at the front, professional training of the military and the importance of high-quality physical and psychological rehabilitation of the wounded.
