A street in Lviv has been officially opened in honor of the Defender of Ukraine — Bohdan Kril ‘Pirate’.
A section of Troleybusna Street will now bear his name. It stretches from Volodymyr Velykyy Street to Naukova Street, bounded by Rubchak Street. The rest of the street retains its previous name. “Today another street has been named, reminding us of the high price of the fight for independence,” said Lviv’s first deputy mayor, Andriy Moskalenko.
Relatives and friends of the warrior, his comrades, and public representatives attended the opening. Bohdan Kril died on May 8, 2022, during the battles in Mariupol. He was an active participant in many movements in Lviv, which have left their mark on the city’s modern history.
“The young generation should know the truth about the struggle for Ukraine,” stated the Hero’s father, Serhiy Kril, speaking about his son.
