Developer damages internet cables in Lviv leaving multiple districts offline

Residents of Lviv have reported widespread internet outages across the city. The cause of the disruption is linked to construction activities, where a developer failed to consider pre-existing layouts of telecom networks.

According to eyewitnesses, underground cables belonging to several internet providers were damaged during excavation work. As a result, users in multiple areas of the city lost access to the internet.

Locals complain of a complete loss of home internet, complicating remote work, online education, and communication.

Internet service providers are currently working to restore connectivity, but the timeframe for full recovery remains unclear.

This incident highlights ongoing issues regarding developers’ adherence to technical plans and the lack of oversight from municipal authorities.
